Two New Teeth-July 28

Wyatt has been a little cranky the last few days, including waking up in the middle of the night crying, which he hasn't done in a little while.  Sure enough, out pop two new teeth.  The first top tooth to show came in on 07/20/10, the second one, popped out yesterday.  We like to call them "Bucky", because as you can see from the picture, they look a little like they may be buck-teeth.

Here's a little video of him bouncing between his cranky moments.

Wyatt also decided to drink from a straw yesterday, it was so cool!  We went to Jamba Juice and he grabbed my drink as usual, then he proceeded to bite on the straw, which he normally does, the next thing I know he is sucking.  Once he realized what he had done and the goodness of fruit juice that followed, he knew he had struck gold.  I think he drank half of my juice, greedy little gremlin.

Off To The Zoo Again...This Time With Friends-July 25

We went to the zoo yesterday and met up with Monica and some of her family.  The little boys had a great time.  It was the first time I really think Wyatt noticed the animals.  He was particularly in awe of a white and black monkey.  Once Kevin pointed it out to him, his jaw literally dropped.

Tiny Dancers-July 24

Thanks to Monica's mad babysitting skills, last night Kevin and I headed off to the Elton John concert.  We had so much fun.  I had forgotten what a great dancer Kevin is, you're thinking how is that possible right, but we have been busy with Wyatt.  Anyway, we listened to some great music, danced to almost all the songs, and fell in love all over again.  "Blue jean baby, LA lady...".  What a beautiful night under the stars enjoying it with my baby.

Cry Baby, Look Out Paparazzi

I love Wyatt so much, that even when he is upset and crying he makes me laugh.  I just had to film him being a cry baby because he is too cute when he cries.  First off the reason he was crying was because I was showing him a video of himself talking to the camera, when he would yell on camera, it would upset him and he would start to cry.  Then when I got out the camera to film him crying, as you will see on the video, this made him more upset and he was lashing out trying to knock the camera out of my hands!

Baby Joys-All In A Days Work

First, Kim had her baby!  Yay, a beautiful, healthy little baby boy, name Cooper Jesse Carr.  He was 7 lbs. 10oz. and 2 1/2 weeks early!  Man these big boys run in the family.  I am so happy for them and can't wait to see the little guy.

Second, we went to visit Kevin at his work. A few of Kev's co-workers got Wyatt a "business suit", so I had to bring him in to show it off. After doing some computer work, Wyatt decided he was hungry and off to lunch we went!

Third, speaking of cousins, Wyatt's cousin on Kevin's side, Caden, gave Wyatt some matching pjs that they could wear together this Christmas.  Well since Wyatt is already growing out of 12 mo. size clothes, I don't think the pjs are going to fit come Christmas.  So, I just decided to let him wear them last night, sorry Caden, maybe we can find a bigger size.  Our little monkey man in his monkey man Christmas pjs.

And finally, just for kicks, here is a hilarious video of Kevin teaching Wyatt to make farting sounds before bedtime.

It's Playtime-July 20

Wyatt has been playing so good with himself. We just lay him down on the carpet with some toys and he goes to town. I was trying to get a video of him playing, but now when he sees the camera he just stares at it and smiles...what a show off.

Ball Game With The Wilsons-July 17

We had a great weekend and headed to the Padres game with Grandpa James and the Wilsons.  Here is Wyatt and Benjamin just chilling.
Poor Benjamin missed his chance in this photo, he was fast asleep right below Dave and Susan's feet!

He's All Growns Up!

Last week I caught Wyatt peeking his little head over the crib, which is great, except for the fact that he had to pull himself up to do so.  So I figured it was time to lower the mattress before the little guy could launch himself over the bars.  Here is a video of him checking out his "new" crib.

He loves to play and he's learning to roll a ball...or in this video, throw one!

I also just found these adorable flip flops, "look Mommy, just like Daddy!"

Why Won't You Hold Your Bottle?

For some reason Wyatt will not hold his bottle when we are holding him. He expects Kevin or I to still hold his bottle, even though for everything else he can't wait to get his hands on it. I guess that's still our job right? Well I outfoxed the little guy and placed him in his boppy and gave him the bottle. If I stood there and watched him, he wouldn't hold the bottle, but once I snuck around behind him he grabbed the bottle and fed himself. So this is me sneaking up behind him to snap a quick photo.

Here is me getting caught trying to take a picture, shortly after seeing me he dropped the bottle. What a character.

Saturday In The Park, You'd Think It Was The 4th of July-July 10

We decided to go to Petco Park for the day on Saturday. They open the park up during the day for people to just go and hang out. We had a great time. Wyatt's taste testing the grass.

Hey what's up? I'm standing!

Earthquake, a lesson learned, & a little help from the ancestors

Recently I have been interested in doing some geneology, so I have been on the computer trying to input names into a pedigree and finding out more about our ancestors. On Wednesday I was busy in the back room working on the computer and I had Wyatt out front in the living room in his bouncer. I just had a thought that I should move him in the room with me. Normally I would never do this because he was out there happily bouncing away watching "Go Diego Go" and moving that big bouncer is a real pain in the butt. So something, or should I say someone, made me get up and go get him and the bouncer. I moved them in the back room and just as I set him down to bounce, an earthquake hit. This one was 5.4, but fairly close to us, it lasted just a few seconds, but was really jarring. Sure enough, I heard a terrible crash and Bella came running in the room. We had mounted my surfboard on the wall high up in the living room and that came down right where Wyatt and his bouncer had been. I am so grateful I listented to that voice that urged me to go and get Wyatt. The crash scared everyone and he started to cry, I just held him tight and thanked the Lord for my beautiful little baby.

4th of July Weekend

We started the 4th of July weekend off strong by saying goodbye to my mom and Abbey and hello to my cousin Jenny and her husband Eric. Jenny, Eric, Wyatt, and I all went to Cabrillo National Monument. Eric was very impressed with the aircraft carrier, Nimitz, we could see coming into the harbor from this vantage point. On Saturday morning my boys went out for a walk, while I went and saw Twilight. The little guy couldn't take all the excitement with daddy and passed out.Later that day we decided to act like tourists and headed down to SeaPort Village. Here are the boys in front of an aircraft carrier memorial.

We wrestled around in the park, or as Kevin would say "clutchbutted"...

He's getting good at goofing around and mugging for the camera!

On the 4th Wyatt got all dressed up in his festive gear, showing it off like a big boy sitting up. He just learned to sit up this week and now he is already a pro!

Here he is trying to crawl. Last night he had his legs in the right position, but his arms were dead weight, instead he was using he head to move forward, just doing the worm. Any day now...

We went with Jenny, Eric, and James down to Old Town park to celebrate the 4th. We ate at this mexican restaurant with a great view of the parade.

Looking just like his mommy here, showing off his double chin.

Kevin and James enjoying the food and parade.

Just Hangin' At My Crib

Wyatt has learned to sit up now, he is still really wobbly though so the safest place for him to practice is his crib. Bella wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I put her in there with him. Once she was up there all she could do was stare through the bars thinking she was in prison.

Grandma & Abby Visit Us-June 27-30

Abby and my mom came to visit for a few days. It was non-stop fun. First we went to the zoo. Isn't Abby so cute, just popping up next to the seal pup.

Next we ended up at Sea World. Wyatt loves the Sesame Street Bay of Play area. He played with this foam block for about an hour, while Abby ran around the park.

Here is Abby taking a picture with Abby Caddaby.

The last day they were here we went to Coronado Beach. The sun finally came out for us. Nice sand castle Abby.

Wyatt loves, loves, loves the beach. He is our little beach baby.

Bye Bye Grandma and Abby, we had fun.

It's Fair Time-June 27

We hit the San Diego County Fair over the past weekend. Of course Kevin had to get some cotton candy. Wyatt looks interested, maybe he'll take after his daddy and love the fluff stuff.

I decided I had to play the water gun game, unfortunately I lost. Bummer.

Here is a picture of the family on the ferris wheel. Once you get to the top, you get a great view of the ocean. The little guy was fast asleep on this ride.

Notice the name of the military vehicle in the background. Oh yea.

OOMJ's Birthday

Just hanging with the boys! For James's birthday we went to Tom Hams for some yummy food.
Here is a view of the bay from the restaurant.

After dinner James came over for a birthday treat. I think Bella wanted to blow out the candles.
