Just Goofing Around...

Bella patiently waits while Wyatt gets his swing fill for the day.  He's a little daredevil on the swings and loves to let go and throw his weight forward.

Both Bella and Wyatt got their Halloween costumes.  Here is Bella in hers, you'll have to wait to see the little spider in his!

Wyatt loves the foam blocks at Sea World.  We head over there at least once a week right before nap time just to wear him out.  Mommy loves the foam blocks too.

Lately Wyatt has really been torturing Bella, whether its stealing her toys, pulling her tail, or just making fun of her for not being able to catch a fly.  Watch the madness, I do everyday and laugh.

Laguna Beach Weekend

This past weekend we headed up to Laguna Beach to visit some friends who just moved out from Chicago.  They have an amazing house overlooking the ocean.  It was a beautiful weekend with lots of laughs.  When we first got there Kevin, Wyatt, and I headed to Crystal Cove, this really fun little beach area just north of Laguna.  We spent the afternoon at the beach and eating in a little restaurant on the beach called the Beachcomber.
They have all these little cabins right on the beach that you can rent!  This little store that Wyatt and Kevin are in front of looks like the cabins for rent.

Later that afternoon we met our friends Grant and Robin from LA in town at a restaurant overlooking the ocean.  We ended up watching part of the Texas game, don't worry Wyatt was prepared.

These pictures are the view from the restaurant balcony, gorgeous!

After, we headed to our friends house Josh, Edi, and their two little girls Ella and Olivia.  Josh is trying to watch football and wrangle in the three little ones.
The boys decided to take a break from the game outside on the Thimon's deck, who could blame them?

Later we headed down to sit right in front of the beach, Wyatt was a little cranky, can you tell from that face?

On Saturday night the Thimons got us a babysitter and we all went out to eat Mexican.  The break was much needed.  All in all it was an enjoyable, quick, little getaway.

Labor Day Weekend

First off Happy Birthday Wyatt, you're 9 months old today!  Time really does fly.
We had a great weekend.  We started off by going down to the bay to see the Festival of Sail, it was cool to see all the huge sail boats come in.  Here Grandpa James is torturing Wyatt with baby crack, aka Coke.

Wyatt has also found a new favorite game at home.  Forget crawling, what about climbing?

On Saturday I took off and got a pedicure, so nice.  The Texas game was on and the boys were down to business.  Bella was down to her usual business as well.

On Sunday we decided to do a picnic in the park.  After setting up shop, and by shop, I mean every beach chair, outdoor equipment, and the pack and play we own, we realized we were being swarmed by bees.  Nobody seemed to notice that the City had posted a sign warning of bee swarms.  We gathered everything up and headed across the street where we could finally relax. Wyatt got a new car he loves and he can go fast in it.

On Monday we spent the afternoon over on Coronado, hitting our favorite diner there and cruising around the Del.  If you can't tell, Wyatt loves whipped cream.

Trip to Visit The Cousins

Wyatt and I took a trip last Thursday to St. George to visit Kim's new baby Cooper, isn't he adorable?

Wyatt can't get enough of baby Cooper, it's so cute at how he is pointing at him.  I am not sure if that is on purpose or not, I have never seen him intentionally point at anything.

We had so much fun while we were there.  Wyatt tried a cupcake for the first time, look at that mischievous grin, I think he likes it!
We swam a few times.  He loved this floaty Grandma got for him, one day he bounced all over the baby pool and the next he just lounged in it for 45 minutes.  Both times he didn't want anyone near him, he was so independent and excited by the fact that he could control it himself.
We visited Grandma Jean at her house a couple of times, she loves to hold the babies.
Here is a video of a park that had some waterfalls for kids to play in.  He mostly enjoyed watching the other kids play around him.

On the day we left Grandma's I shot a little video of the chaos left behind.  Wyatt was sure to leave his mark on the infamous fruit basket at Grandma's.

Before we caught our flight back to San Diego we hit Andy and Jamie's house in Vegas for a few hours.  The last time Sammy and Wyatt were together was when Wyatt was 4 months old.  They had to get to know each other again.  I love how Sammy crawls all over Oakley, in the next picture Wyatt is on one of Sammy's toys, but you can barely see he is chasing Oakley's tail.  That poor dog will be tortured.

I think Sammy was ready to put the choke hold on Wyatt...Ah the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Wyatt has been making an attempt to crawl, I have tried to capture that the best I could because it only lasts a few seconds.

It was great to see everyone, but also great to be home.  I don't miss that heat and wind in St. George.

CEHA Beach Event-August 21

I am a little behind on the blog here, but wanted to update with some picture from a family beach day we had for a professional association I am a member of.

Wyatt decided to crawl (scoot) all over the sand, straight out of the Little Mermaid movie like Ursula.

And he was really sandy because of it!  Did I mention he likes to eat sand too?

And of course he loves to play at the beach in his sun tent.  This is a picture of him eating Cheetos for the first time, he LOVED them.
