Awkward Family Photos

I asked Kevin for an early Mother's Day gift, family pictures.  We headed off to Sears today and the results were hilarious.  Most of the pictures taken looked like something straight out of the 80's and the only photogenic person in our family is Wyatt.  Here is some of the awesomeness!  First off...Luke
I'm so angry, can't believe Mom is making me do this.  Notice the high quality photo work with a blue sheet peeking through in the back, WTF?

Over the yelling phase, now he just decides to flip her the bird.

Wow, did I just use my fingers?  That was so cool...

...now I can conquer the world, ha ha!

Hello 80's backdrop, she talked us into this one and said it looks really nice, weird.

Luke is not having any of this.  Kevin is trying so hard to keep him from jumping out of his arms that he looks like a manequin with his hand on his hip.

Wyatt- "This woman is crazy, I'm so over this."

Now for a few that I actually like.

I love the fact that Luke is crossed-eyed, because that is how he is right now.

A good one of the boys.

I like this one because you can see how wavy Luke's hair is.  The tone almost looks like this was taken in the 50's.

My boys looking so handsome.

More awkward...

Poor Luke isn't sure in this photo, he's like what is going on Mom?

Wyatt is so cute with Luke here, but at the exact moment this picture was taken he looks like he decided to go number two.

Finally both are calm and looking at the camera.

Thanks for the wonderful Mother's Day gift, I'm sure we won't forget this day for awhile!

Luke's Hospital Photos

While we were still in the hospital a photographer came to the room and took some newborn pictures of Luke.  We decided to order the CD, so here they are.

Over A Week Later

Here we are eleven days later...

Getting ready to come home.  I love this picture because his face reminds me so much of Wyatt when he was just born.

First time in the car seat leaving the hospital.

Nana's holding Luke, which makes Wyatt a little jealous.

Nana and Wyatt decorating Easter eggs getting ready for our backyard hunt.

Saturday Kevin and Nana took Wyatt to the Eggstravaganza in Santee.  The hunt was too busy for them to participate in, but they had lots of fun at all the craft booths.

Wyatt showing Luke his Easter basket.

Wyatt helping Daddy find his basket.

Look we both got rabbit glasses!

Family photo after the big backyard hunt.  Wyatt must have a lot of eggs, he looks like he's weighed down.

Easter dinner out enjoying the nice weather.

Luke's first outing, Santee Lakes.  He loved the Moby wrap.

Nana and Wyatt feeding the ducks at Santee Lakes.

Daddy took Nana on a hike up to Cowles Mountain.

While they were hiking and Wyatt was napping I had a mini photo shoot with Luke.  Our friends the Bandas sent Luke this adorable blanket and Mimi knit him his diaper and hat.  More photo shoots to come, he only let me take about four pictures before he had enough.

Luke's first bath, as you can tell, he hated it!

Wyatt holding Luke.  He doesn't ask to hold him too much, but when he does you really have to keep an eye on him.  One minute he is as sweet as can be, the next, he's rough-housing Luke.

Here he is again, wanting to hold Luke, but also not wanting to take his eyes of the cartoons.

At Lake Murray with Nana feeding the ducks.

Hanging out at the mall with Nana and Daddy.  The past few days have been rainy and cold, so they've bundled up and headed outdoors, or when its really coming down, they've gone to the mall to play.

Luke is here!

We will add more details later but just wanted to say that Kelly and I are excited to share that Luke Austin Jolly joined us (and his big brother Wyatt) at 11:11pm on April 3rd.  He weighed 8lbs 12oz (the exact same as Wyatt) and measured 20 in.  Everyone is healthy and doing well.  Here are a couple photos and a video, and we will add more later.

Our friend Maggie who watched Wyatt for a few hours and brought him by the hospital for us.

Monica also helped to watch Wyatt the first night we were in the hospital and came by to see the newest family member as well.

Video of when Wyatt first walks into the hospital room and sees Luke. (For best viewing, click on the arrow, then click on the little YouTube symbol in the bottom right, and then click Full Screen.  Believe me, it's worth it!)
