Coastal Trip - Day 1 - SD to LA Sept 26th

Kelly and I headed out on Sat for our "babymoon" (thanks Beck/Padilla for the term), starting a trip up the CA coast that we have been looking forward to for quite a while. The first night was just a quick trip to LA. Thanks to Gregor for hosting and recommending Casa Sanchez for dinner, and Betsy, Hollywood, Chilltown, Ryan, Michelle, & Silky for joining us, an excellent start to our California adventure.

Justin & Jamie's Wedding - Sept 25th

Jamie and Justin had an absolutely beautiful SD wedding, which was naturally a great reunion for quite a few of us. Thanks to J & J for inviting us and giving all of us a great opportunity to catch up.

Day Trip To Julian, Sept 19th

We need to keep up with our posts because there are so many beautiful places and good times we are having in a very short period of time. Here is a day trip we took to Julian, CA, an old mining town about an hour east in the mountains from SD that has become well-known for its apple pies and old-time feel.

Padres Game

We wanted to catch another Padres game prior to the end of the season so we headed down to the park with my Dad and Sluz. Sorry Sluz, I blew it and did not get you in these pics, so rude.

Autumn & Steve'sWedding

Over Labor Day weekend, our friends Autumn and Steve had a beautiful outdoor wedding up in North San Diego County and then Kelly and I took a few pics with Bella along our favorite walk thru Balboa Park.

In Memoriam: Mr Patrick Swayze

A slight deviation from the SD Jolly Family Blog as Kelly and I mourn the loss of one of the greatest actors, dancers, and yes, even singers of the children of the 80s generation. This Houston, TX native taught us about so much -- "100% pure adrenaline", "Ditto", "I want you to be nice...until it's time to not be nice", that "Everybody's working for the weekend", and of course "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"

May you rest in peace and live on forever as Darrell Curtis, Jed, Johnny Castle, Bodhi, Sam Wheat, and Dalton.

A Visit To Del Mar & Some Family Bonding

We headed up to Del Mar to see the horse racing and then got some good shots of Bella checking out the glider chair and listening for some kicks from Baby Wyatt.
