Texas Jollys Visit

Brian and Laura decided to come stay for a few days with their family.  There were good times and bad, put four little kids together non-stop for a few days and there is bound to be lots of fun and lots of trouble.
There was lots of backyard time, running through the sprinklers.  It was hot and humid that week.  Annabelle making her run.

There goes Annabelle and Luke.

We loaded up the popper guns Nana brought the boys last time she was here and for hours they would run around and try and dodge the balls we shot at them.  Annabelle and Luke liked to collect the balls on the grass, it was like an Easter egg hunt.

A trip to the San Diego Zoo.

The kids hanging out with Papa James having a snack.

Luke loves to entertain, and he thought it was especially funny to have this basket on his head daily.  He even started to use the word "hat".

Caden making the kitchen rounds with his grocery cart.

Laura set up some family pictures with a photographer at WindanSea Beach, this is my favorite.  She also made the cute matching embroidered shirts and dress.

Finally, after pictures, it was playtime!

Once again, stealing my chair and my banana.

I love this picture too.  Brothers & Cousins.

I was trying to catch a quick snooze when Luke ambushed me.  Hey if you're at his level, you're fair game.

Can't wait to ride.

It's puzzle time with Papa James.
It's game time!

Following the game, it's more sprinkler fun.

Wyatt's First Day of Preschool

Wyatt started at a new preschool since we moved up here.  He really seems to enjoy going, which makes a Momma happy!

"Hey Mom, hurry and take the picture, I don't want to be running late!"

Labor Day at Balboa Island

On Labor Day we decided to head up to Orange County, there is a very small island, Balboa, located off Newport Beach.  It's kind of like a mini Catalina with only a 5 minute ferry ride, instead of a 3 hour one.
The guys taking a ferry ride.

Quiet little streets.

We thought this house was pretty cool, looked like it belongs in the French Quarter.

We walked this long boardwalk for awhile, it was beautiful.

Luke and I on the ferry.

Crossing over the water to the peninsula.

Once over the water we made our way to Newport Beach, they had a really cool play structure on the sand, Wyatt loved it, I was nervous.

It was foggy and the waves were breaking so close to the beach, it was a bit scary for swimmers.

We took a long walk on the pier.

They had an arcade so of course, Wyatt had to play...Nothing but net!

This cool car rode back with us on the ferry.

On our way home we randomly decided to stop at the Newport Temple, I'm glad we did, it was beautiful and it made me really excited that we are getting ready to head to the temple with our family soon.

We will be together forever!

Matt & Sam's Wedding

We travelled to St. George, Ut for Matt and Sam's wedding ceremony the end of August.  It was nice to see them express their love for one another and fun to get together with a bunch of family.  They had their ceremony in a beautiful house in Virgin, Ut, just outside of Zion National Park, the scenery was gorgeous.  During the ceremony it rained a bit and there was definitely some scary thunder, but I love a desert thunder storm, so I thought it was all the more beautiful.
Uncle Mark, Andy, and adorable little Damon

Apparently the fireplace was a popular spot to sit, Sammy and Cooper waiting out the rain.

Luke being the entertainment as usual.

The two newlyweds

"Oh hi, just thought I'd take a seat."
Photo booth time for Nana, Luke, and me

Wyatt, aka Mr. Cool

Kevin left the Monday after the wedding, but I stayed at my mom's with the kids for a few extra days.  We had some fun even though it was unusually rainy and cool weather.
St. George downtown park carousel.  Wyatt decided he did not like the animals going up and down, he preferred the bench, so Luke and I joined him.
