Palm Springs For Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to head to Palm Springs for Memorial Day weekend.  Several of our friends were going and we decided we couldn't pass up the fun.  First stop... to hangout with the Balsamo's at their hotel pool.

Michael, Dani, Wyatt, and Me

Kevin, Wyatt, Ed, and Michael

Wyatt loves the water and he loves this little ball, which he got from the dentist after his surgery.  He must be very proud of himself.  Look how cool I am with my ball and my new front tooth!

After we spent the morning and early afternoon at the Balsamo's pool, we headed over to a house that the Geisen's and Besty and Jason rented.  Here are the girls hanging out in the backyard.

The couples had brought their three dogs, Wyatt was in heaven.  A backyard and dogs...what more could a little boy ask for!  Oh a bocce ball, now that's perfection.

Kevin modeling a pose after Grant.  Grant was seriously on the grass sitting like this, Kevin had to run behind him and strike a pose.  Hilarious.

After a fun filled day of lounging poolside, we headed to our hotel to check in and get ready for dinner with everyone.  We ate at this delicious little dive called Shanghai Reds, they had yummy fish tacos.  By then Wyatt was ready to call it and we took him back to the hotel for bed.

The next morning we were ready to do it all again.  Wyatt and Daddy at our hotel pool.

After we checked out of our hotel and had lunch, we headed back to the house for more hanging out and swimming.  If you can't tell, the water was a little cold.

EXHAUSTED!
That afternoon we headed home.  If you know Wyatt at all, you know he doesn't sleep in the car.  This trip really wore him out and right when we got in the car to go home, he passed out!

Wyatt's Starting To Talk

Just a quick note:  For awhile now we've been wondering when Wyatt would start to say more than just "dada".  Well now he says "momma" pretty good, "duck", and just in the past few days has said "lella" for Bella and "zeus" for juice.  He always says a lot of animal sounds like "woof" when he sees a dog and "roar" for pretty much any other animal!  And of course he hasn't stopped his signing, his favorites are milk, more, and all done.

One More Saturday

Kevin took Wyatt on a long walk this past Saturday so I could sleep in.  Isn't he a great husband and daddy?
They headed over to the suspension bridge that we discovered a few weeks ago.

After we went to play tennis.  Kevin got us some tennis rackets and we haven't been able to use them in months, finally we made it to the courts!  Here I am trying to get Wyatt's sweatshirt off.  As you can tell he hates being dressed and undressed lately, and by hates, I mean he screams and throws a fit.  When did this start?  I hope it's not the terrible twos already.  Sometimes I think it's because one, he loves being naked, so he doesn't want to be dressed, and two, when he does have clothes on, he doesn't want to be slowed down so that we can take them off.

Later that afternoon we met our friends Jamie, Justin, and their baby Geneva at this awesome bar and grill called The Station, it has a sand pit area for kids to play in while you eat.

Did I mention how much he LOVES trucks.

Look how happy he is after playtime, some tater tots and a turkey burger.  What a nice Saturday!

Playing With Friends

Wyatt is starting to love to have other kids around.  His favorite friend is Benjamin and I like hanging out with Susan, so we try and get together when we can.  Too bad they're going away for 3 months, we'll miss them.
Hugging each other at the mall after they rode the carousel.

Looking in the shark tank at Sea World.

Benjamn is watching a polar bear at Sea World, Wyatt was busy watching Benjamin.

Legos & Falls

On the 14th Wyatt fell at the farmer's market in Little Italy while running to the playground.  He chipped his front left tooth, I was nervous because there was blood everywhere.  It was also an extra nightmare because it was on a Saturday and I couldn't get a hold of any pediatric dentists.  Finally I took him to Rady's Children Hospital.  Hopefully his first and last trip to the emergency room!  The nurse called in a pediatric dentist to look at him, and literally four hours later I was told there was nothing they could do there and set me up with a dentist on Monday.  By now, both Wyatt and I were exhausted, Kevin happened to be in Philly that weekend so he missed all the action.  We went home and crashed.  Luckily after the initial accident, the little man didn't seem to be in pain, thank goodness.  So Monday came and off to the dentist we went.  He did NOT want anyone looking at his tooth now, especially after the hassle in the ER, he cried through the whole exam, good thing it only lasted 15 minutes.  She told me the tooth could probably be saved, but she's not sure until she gets in there, it might have to be extracted.  Our appointment was set for Thursday the 24th.  Well just yesterday he was running in the house and tripped and fell and knocked his teeth again!  He was bleeding a little, but not too bad.  I was nervous again though because he seemed to be in so much pain, he wouldn't calm down all night.  I got a hold of the dentist and she agreed to see him this morning.  Well we went in and everything looks the same as it did earlier, so the same procedure is still on for Thursday.  Hopefully this nightmare is over soon!

Here he is eating jello and loving it.  You can see his poor little fractured tooth in this video.

We went to Legoland for the first time last Thursday.  It was pretty cool.  He especially liked this safari train ride, all the animals were made of Legos.

Playing in the park.

At first he was nervous about this guy hanging out on the bench, but then he didn't want to leave him.

Here his is on another train exploring a farm made of Legos.

Kevin Goes To Philly

Last weeked right when we got back from Utah, Kevin took a trip to Philly.  By the end of the weekend, we were really missing him.  He decided to head back east to attend his 15 year college reunion at Penn also it was a good time for him to visit his mom and aunt for one last time in Philly before their big move to Dallas.
Back on campus.

Spending time with old friends.

Stopping by the faternity house.

Getting together at the reunion.

Visiting Grandma & Grandpa

Wyatt and I were able to travel to St. George for four days last week.  The flight to Vegas was wonderful, Wyatt got his own seat beacuse the plane wasn't full and he actually sat in it most of the time playing with his cars.  The flight home...a different story.

Having a great time at Jumping Jacks, a bounce house Grandma took us to.

He was fascinated with this little guy for whatever reason.

Our little tunnel boy.  Tunnels and slides, he cannot get enough of those.

He also loved the hot tub.  We turned the heat down and him and Cooper spent a lot of time in there, I'm talking 2-3 times a day.  All the adults had to take turns because we were water logged, plus getting in a hot tub for me is just not as fun when it's only 85F.  I want it hot!

Kevin's Belated Birthday Celebration

We were a little delayed in celebrating Kevin's birthday this year because of Grandma's funeral.  Finally on the 7th we got around to it.  Monica was kind enough to come over and babysit the little guy while we got out and took a trip around town.
Our little tour car, go number 17!

Pulling out our first drive by was Little Italy, then we were off by the bay.  The car was equipped with a GPS system, so as you drove, it took you on a spoken tour, it was pretty cool.

Heading for downtown.

Entering the Gaslamp district.

Next we headed up through our hood, Bankers Hill, then off to Balboa Park.  There was some kind of Native American festival going on at the park.

After leaving the park we headed through the back way of Hillcrest.

Just a little video of the ride.
Finally after going through Hillcrest we headed back down First avenue and down towards the bay to drop the car off.  We were able to grab some lunch afterwards at Kevin's favorite spot, Tio Leos.  What a fun birthday celebration!

When we got back to the house, Wyatt was waking up and the party was just beginning.  He got Bella is his wagon and took her for a ride.  I couldn't believe she seemed to actually be enjoying it.

Later that day we decided to take our bikes over to the suspension bridge we were reminded about on our tour.  It's a really cool bridge crossing a ravine in our neighborhood.  I was just a little paranoid because being a suspension bridge, it actually shook when you went out on it!

Wyatt loved it, he is such a brave little guy.

Going To See The Animals

Wyatt loves the Wild Animal Park and the Zoo. One day I took Wyatt to the Wild Animal Park with my friend Autumn and her daughter Rio.  The next day Kevin took him to the Zoo.  I think he got his fill of animals for at least a week!
Autumn and Rio on the tram.

Playing at the splash pad on a hot day!

Loving the lion.

At the zoo the next day with Daddy, loving the gorilla.

Hanging out by the waterfall.

Visiting the panda.

At the children's zoo, petting the goats.  He is so gentle with the goats, for some reason, unfortunately this does not continue at home with Bella.
