Carlsbad Flower Fields

It has been unusually hot this week, with the Santa Ana winds its hot (like mid 90s and windy), pretty miserable for us.  We have spent a lot of time in our community pool, went to the beach and yesterday we went to the Carlsbad coast for the last week of the flower fields.  Even though some of the ranunculus are already dying down, it was very beautiful. I especially enjoyed the rose garden, that probably was in part because it smells so good and there was a water feature near by the boys played in while I ventured around the peaceful garden.
A boys dream, farming.

Come on guys, act like you like each other.

Riding on the tractor wagon to the top of the fields.

The ranunculus fields.

Wyatt wanted to get a picture by his favorite color of flower.

Wyatt is Mr. Mom lately, here he is yelling at Luke to slow down because he's running too fast and might fall and get hurt.

This guy did not want to get his picture taken.

Hey there lady!  He bends down and says, "what doing?"

The boys exploring the rose garden.

Funny guys, they have a great little fairy playground area near the rose gardens the kids loved.  They liked exploring in all the gnome and fairy houses.  I've been wanting to make a fairy garden, especially for Wyatt, I think he would really enjoy it, but haven't yet and now we're moving again, so maybe a project for the next house...
