Starting The New Year Right

My friend Emily and her husband Jim came to town for a few days.  We were able to celebrate New Years Eve with them at Monica and Joels.  Joel cooked us an amazing dinner of "Cardiff Crack", the best tri-tip, king crab legs, and so many yummy salads.  After dinner we all headed to a local bar for some live music.  Kevin and I even stayed out until 12:01, seriously, we are so old, we couldn't wait for it to be midnight, once that boat sailed we were out of there to our bed!

It was Emily's birthday too!

The girls, reliving old times, talking about our little apartment above the automechanic garage in PB, loved it.

These two have been taking baths together, it melts my heart, they are so cute together in there, they both LOVE the bath.  Notice my death grip on Luke, he is reckless!

One of his favorite places to play.

We had family come to town for Kevin's baptism, and it was Mimi's birthday the Thursday before everyone from my family arrived.  We celebrated by going out to dinner and after her and Wyatt literally fought over a slice of chocolate cake...Out of fairness, it wasn't just any chocolate cake, it was the Viking from Extraordinary Desserts.

Hanging out at the park with the kids, it was so cold this weekend.  Luke still loves to be packed around in the carrier, he is such a cuddler.  By the time Wyatt was 6 months old he had had enough.

Papa Terry helping Wyatt climb the roller slide.

The crazy cousins, they adore each other.

Really...it's true some times this kid does need two adults to wrangle him.

My favorite picture from the weekend, cousin time.  Wyatt, Cooper, Reese, Sammy, and Luke.
All here to celebrate my Love's baptism.  It was such a special day and when Kevin bore his testimony I could feel his love for our Savior and his family.  I love him very much and am so proud of his personal progress spiritually and at work.  He works so hard for our family and for that I am very thankful.

Having fun in Coronado.

Cooper and Wyatt jumping all over EVERYTHING.

On Monday we took a trip to Disneyland, it was a lot of fun, but SO cold.

I love this picture of my parents, so cute, riding Casey Jr.

The Jollys on the trolley.

Wyatt was pretty excited to see all the characters, but I think Mimi might have been more.

Kevin and I on Autotopia, did I mention it was cold. This was one of our last rides, we had to leave around five because the sun went down and we were freezing.

On our way out.

  1. When I saw you holding onto Luke in the bath with Wyatt, I too held by breath because he's just plain dangerous showing NO fear. You have to hold onto him and watch him every minute.

I was so impressed with the turnout of Kevin's baptism and with what you told me at Kevin's confirmation. It was so special to have so many missionaries support Kevin by attending this special saving ordinance. He is a great, great man, a wonderful father, son and husband. It's our pleasure to know him.

We had so much fun at the beach even though it was cool, but the kids didn't seem to mind at all. Wyatt was the first to be brave and get himself pretty wet from the knees down and then Sammy followed by jumping into a puddle of water next to the rocks and soaking her shoes and socks with water. The kids had a ball playing in the sand making a tall tower of sand and then jumping into it together. I love the beach and could spend every minute there, cool or hot!

Disneyland was a blast! Everything went perfect from walking right on the rides to being able to walk right up to the disney characters. Those boys had so much fun seeing them and having their pictures taken. What a great day we had with you guys. Thanks for inviting us!
