Eternity Begins Today

What a special weekend we just had for our family.  Kevin, me, and the boys were sealed together for time and all eternity in the San Diego Temple on 02/01/14.  We were surrounded by family and friends and it was such a beautiful, sacred ceremony.  Throughout the week thoughts from this day have been popping into my heading making me smile, especially the boys entering the room in their little white outfits looking so precious, I'm truly overjoyed.
Getting ready for the big day, family starts to arrive and Wyatt is just in love with baby Damon.

He loves him...

Did I mention he loves Damon...

Kevin and my Aunt Julie grabbing lunch after the temple ceremony.

Family and friends at our backyard luncheon.

I never see Andy smile this much in pictures, either he really is having a great day too, or he just loves cookies, probably the latter.

All the kiddies in the sand box.

Jamie and Andy hanging out.

Kim and Tyler

It was a full house and I loved it.  Reese, Wyatt, Luke, and Sammy winding down in their new jammies from Nana.

My girlfriends who celebrated with us, Monica, Jodi, and Jill.

This is terrible, on my camera there is not one picture of my mom and dad, have to wait for the photographers photos.  Ugh, hate that, when the day is so busy you forget to take tons of pictures.

My mom stayed the week after everyone went home and we have been able to get in some good quality time.  This morning we decided to hike Torrey Pines after we dropped Wyatt off at school.
Here she is ready to go!

Exploring the beach below.

Luke was really enjoying the sand and rocks, not so into the seashells, just the rocks.  The bridge was also under construction so there was a lot of construction trucks, which he loves, and the train came by several times while we were there.  It was basically Luke's idea of heaven; beach, rocks, trucks, and trains.

  2. Temples are the house of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. The temple provides a place where we can make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the “sealing” of families for eternity.

The concept of eternal families comes from scripture and modern-day revelation. For instance, the New Testament reference in Matthew 16:19 records Jesus Christ telling the Apostle Peter: “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” We equate the word “bind” with “seal.”

You and Kevin have preformed a sacred ordinance of being married in the house of God, and Wyatt & Luke have participated in a temple sealing to be with you for all time and eternity. I am overwhelmed with a feeling I could not describe when I saw you two together. You showed so much love for each other as you looked into each other's eyes and the love you showed for your beautiful children. There are just no words I could use to describe the joy I feel for you my sweet, tender and caring daughter and for my sister in heaven. I love you Kelly, I love you Kevin, and I love your children, Wyatt & Luke.
