New Tradition and Wyatt's Birthday Party

I decided to start a new tradition this year, making a Christmas chain. It's a chain of small gifts counting down to Christmas, everyday Wyatt gets to open a present as we get closer and closer to Christmas day.  Now we just have lots of new bath toys, books, and small matchbox cars being played with everyday.
He loves this and every morning runs to the chain.  A couple of times he has tricked Kevin and I and both of us separately have let him open two presents in one day, little stinker.

Oh I think it might be a book.

Daddy helping Wyatt open Nana and Papa's gift on his birthday.  Thanks for the nice warm clothes!

He jumped on the clothes and rolled around.

His birthday was on Friday so we decided to celebrate with a party on Saturday afternoon.  I think Kevin and I thought we were superheros or something, we had just moved in the weekend before and trying to get ready for a party full of kids with crap everywhere was crazy.  Here we are Saturday morning decorating the train cake.  Wyatt mostly just licked the frosting from the tubs.

Time to play with all the toys.

Some friends hanging out in the backyard until it got too cold.

Blowing out the candles.  In the past few weeks Wyatt has gotten pretty good, although he did need some help.

Wyatt's first and only bite of cake for the day.  He does not eat!  What kind of kid do you have to force to eat cake.  No eating for him when there is too many toys and people to see.

Later we went outside for some bubble time, always a big hit.

Thanks to some friends from Kevin's work Wyatt got a new work truck.

So many presents, so little time.

The next morning he immediately woke up and grabbed his balloons.  He wouldn't let them go all morning.

Papa gets back from Dallas on Sunday and comes over for one last celebration.

  1. Wyatt's birthday party looked really fun. He's luckly he has so many friends with so many presents. I'm sorry the train took an hour to put together. Hopefully, he has fun playing with it for at least an hour.
