I'm not the only one still anxiously waiting Luke's arrival.
To help pass the time we took Bella over to Coronado Dog Beach so that Wyatt and her could run around.
We also took Wyatt over to the Easter festivities at our YMCA gym. It turned out to be our first failed attempt at an Easter egg hunt, they really sell out quick, but he loved the other games. Here he is practicing his soccer skills.
And little man was having a blast in the bounce house.
Wyatt had a musical performance at school on Wednesday, both Kevin and I were able to attend and watch him participate. He did such a great job. Afterwards we all had lunch together.
He really loved the egg shakers.
Yummy pizza while sitting on tiny chairs, I honestly thought I was going to break the chair.
Heading home after the Easter party. Could I look anymore uncomfortable?
On Thursday I was up all night feeling terrible, having contractions on and off throughout the night. I thought for sure we would have Luke on Friday. Well no dice, the contractions stopped and I felt great all day Saturday. We went to the zoo, I made labor inducing cookies (spicy gingersnaps), ate too many of those, then because I still felt pretty good, we decided to have a date night. James came over and we went out to dinner at Casa De Pico and then to the Hunger Games movie. All in all it was a great day, one final hoorah before we're on Luke's schedule. This morning I woke up not feeling so well, really nauseated...maybe today is the day?
We were at the craft store the other day to get some last minute projects done before little Luke arrives and I saw some chocolate molds. Hey Mom remember when we used to do these? The nostalgia got the best of me and I bought a car chocolate/pretzel stick mold. I got the chocolate there, but of course they didn't have the pretzels, and I wasn't making a trip to the store, so Wyatt and I made them without the pretzels. I think he had a good time! Who needs pretzels?
Daddy and Wyatt wearing their green for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. We got some breakfast that day then headed out on seriously one of the coldest days in years. I really had to get us all bundled up in winter gear, it even hailed at our house, unheard of in San Diego! We were troopers though and braved the storm.
I can barely zip my coat over the belly. Wyatt loved all the firetrucks.
One of our favorites every year, the re-creation of Iwo Jima.
Tradgedy strikes the parade route. Just after this picture was taken one of the miniature horses fell over, knocking an older man out of the wagon it was pulling and on top of the horse. It took a good ten minutes for the horse to get back on its feet. It was scary I thought they were going to need to haul the horse off, what a sight for the kids to remember huh? But finally they got him on his feet and everyone cheered, tradgedy averted.
This was hilarious...what is it? I think they were trying to advertise this bar cycle which you can rent for fun with your friends. It did not look like fun, they were working so hard and it was BARELY a hill they had to ride up!
Wyatt found an old guitar at Pop Pop's house that Daddy used to play with.
Wyatt playing guitar and singing with us at Pop Pop's place.
It took us a little while to figure out how best to get some of the videos from the new camera that we bought in December so this is a gem that is a little delayed. Wyatt and Caden enjoy entertaining each other, and others, and this is a good example of that. They are going to be great big brothers, with maybe a little teasing for their younger siblings. (Click on the YouTube link at the bottom of the video to be able to watch it in full screen.)
Mimi decided to come visit us for a week in February. Kevin and Wyatt took her on a hike up Cowels Mountain. They made it about 3/4 of the way up and had a great time.
I love Wyatt's hat, he insisted having a flower on it like Mimi had on hers!
Dinner at Nicolosi's in the neighborhood.
Visiting Coronado and getting a little to confident in the water. Shortly after this video Wyatt fell in all the way, poor guy was freezing. Mimi had to run out and get him and got wet up to her waist! Maybe next time we'll bring the life jacket.
Kevin and I went out on a little date night to a concert with Pam Tillis and Lori Morgan. It was so much fun, lots of old country. I think we were the only ones under 50.
Wyatt hiking Mission Trails in our neighborhood with Daddy. I think he's looking for frogs here.
Play date with his best buddy Benjamin, they were running through the sprinklers, it was like 80 degrees, come back warm weather, please, it was such a tease.
Here I am in Luke's room, I just finished decorating about a week ago. 38 weeks pregnant, can't wait for the little guy to arrive!
We received some good news about baby Luke today, after hearing on Monday that I was only measuring 30cm when I should have been measuring 35cm. I hadn't grown at all in a month! The doctor was concerned when I measured small at my 35 week check-up and sent us to get amniotic fluid and body measurements for the baby. From Monday until today I have been a ball of emotions worrying about if he was healthy and thriving. The good news is, everything checks out, he is just so far down in my pelvic bones that my belly hasn't expanded outwards, just down. So good news, he's measuring on target 36 weeks for body size, bad news, over 37 weeks for head, ouch! But we are so happy he seems to be growing just fine. Hopefully for my sake though he doesn't have an enormous melon and comes to see us by the end of this month!
